Dandy was created to be different. We truly believe this is at the heart of who we are and what we do.
In creating Dandy, it was crucial to me as the Founder of the company that we have a fundamental give back program from the 1st day of our launch. We are blessed to live in Canada where we have basics like food, water, and health care. I am grateful beyond words. I also recognize that many millions in this world do not have the same privilege.
In the development of Dandy, I led the initiative in selecting a charitable organization that would be the best fit. This was something that I had such a strong connection to that I wanted to do the work personally.
Ultimately, Seva Canada was chosen as the partner and they are the perfect fit. This Vancouver based organization has been in operation for over 35 years. Their mission is to restore sight and restore blindness in developing countries. Seva was rated as a Top 100 charity by Charity Intelligence for a second year in a row.
Globally, 19 million children are visually impaired or suffer from blindness. Children who have trouble seeing are often unable to get an education. Restoring a child’s vision can help break the cycle of poverty. Those who have their sight corrected have the opportunity to learn, play, and build brighter futures.
We are so excited to partner with Seva Canada! We call our giveback program
Our collective vision. For each new Dandy subscriber, we will donate 1 pair of eyeglasses to a child in a low-income country. In addition, Seva has announced that until December 31st, 2019 - donations will be doubled! That means 2 children will benefit from the gift of sight with your Dandy subscription.
Let’s help the next generation see the bright side.
Seeing is believing.
